Does anyone have a picture of this color?
Thank you
Hi,
We painted this car in Met Green (8383) which is the paint code for Met Green 1970-72. For the 69 model the code is as you said 6852 and I believe is darker. I also have a 72 coupe being painted now in 8383 and will post pics once painted if that helps.
For now here is the 69 Targa

and when compared to ossi blue and Bahama yellow

Hope that helps
Alan
Alan -- that first photo of the gentleman and his son in the green targa is priceless. Sitting here at work (very dull today) I could not help but get a big grin seeing the smile on that fellow -- and it was clear in an instant: he has taken his son out for a cruise in a stunning classic Porsche and the weather is nice enough to take the top off! Life is good! You think that kid is going to want to own a Porsche one day?
Regards,
SCOTT
my 69 S is that color and code
here's a pic
I'll get better ones or email me your email address
so I can send you full resolution ones
its called dark green metallic
I'll post better shots with proper lighting when I have a chance.
the car is on its second respray of the original color.
this color code is not graced with a photo of an example on the German site:
http://www.elferhelfer.com/farben.htm
it is not common...I wont say rare as this is over used/mis-used word
and before you guys pick at this car, alot of this were being redone..WRONG:( this photo is before I saved it from future wrong doing...
it has NEW regular trim however its all wrong for an S...
I will correct the PO's mistakes and finish up this beauty:)
221?? its a 70's color burgundy>>
weird on the same graph 221 appears twice'
one as burgundyrot and below 221 dark grun metallic????
whats up with that???
that green 221 is actually 8383 also I just sold one
recently and is not the same as 6852 and 62109 which is darker
8383 is really a wonderful color up close and with daylight differences
quite nice
my 6852 is very different and much darker
as soon as I can I will post good shots
Hi,
burgundyrot (burgundy) is not 221, must be a mistake
Here is a pic from my 70-71 colour chart.

Max,
Here are a couple of Metallic green pics I have collected a while ago.
I won't get into this unseemly squabble over the years or the correct numbers - just enjoy the pics ! :D
Cheers,
Dennis.
