Can anyone recommend a reputable and knowledgeable shop in the Bay Area for a PPI?
San Carlos, Redwood City, or Palo Alto would be the most convenient locations.
Subject is a '73 911S Coupe.
Thanks for your help!

anyone?
It wouldnt hurt to ask this question over on the Pelican Parts boards as well since there is a larger audience and this question sint early car specific. The Early S board seems to be pretty dead on the weekend......maybe because we love driving those long hood cars sooooo much :D
Welcome to the board and best wishes on your search!

Check out this thread started by Chris (yopurp) looking for the same thing after his car was done. Sure hope you give him a call and talk to him about born2bfast. He dealt with them extensively.

Thanks guys,
yes I have spoken with Chris and he was very helpful regarding my inquiry pertaining to b2bfast.
With a lot of persistence (and probably a lot of luck), I've found a different source for an "S". He also happens to be in the SF area.
I've emailed Chris about a good PPI shop, and am awaiting his reply.
Try Deiter in Palo Alto, he is great.
both Chris and I use him and he really knows the early cars.
I sent you a Pm.
Frank,
Dieter told me that the 'seller' cancelled the PPI early this afternoon. Give me a call. I've misplaced your number. mine's on my emails.
I have nothing good at all to say about Born 2B Fast. However, I have lot's of good things to say about German Auto Service in Alemeda 510-521-1725. The shop owner, Oscar, performed the ppi on my new 70T two weeks ago. Price was good and findings were spot on. He mostly works on newer cars...but has in been working on Porsches since pre 1970.
BTW, the 70T performed the 760 miles from Monterey to Pheonix in 13 hours without a single incident.
I Love that car, best of luck to you.
Shawn.
Hi Shawn,
Glad to hear things worked out for you. Has your car arrived in Scotland yet? Best of luck, and enyoy!
Frank
Hey Shawn,
I thought you were another of Wayne's customers over in Europe named Shawn that I spoke with last week.
Anyway, best of luck to you too!
