My favorite car at my favorite track! Thanks for posting the link. The sound track was a bit of a "fail" though--the way it was falling in and out of sync detracted from my ability to "get inside" the video, unfortunately. I was imagining myself in the cockpit, mashing the gas, shifting, and then the aural input went completely wrong and ruined my fantasy. :(
The pace seems to be reflective of the value of the cars involved, and the "gentleman racing" ethic of vintage racing, though. It appears he's turning laps in the 1:35-1:40 range, but maybe that was the editing, too? That's nowhere near how fast he would have driven that car "in anger" back in the day. A halfway decent 911 will run that pace.
