I saw this today on C/L it is in the Seattle area, looks original, and a sportomatic, $70.000. I do not own it just passing it along.

another well priced in this market - hurry while you can
Pretty car. I have a theory that these Sportos will one day be highly sought after by the current generation who can't drive a stick.

Here is the text from the original ad. He claimed he knew what these were worth but apparently wasn't ready for reality.
For sale is my beloved Porsche 1973 911E Targa Sportomatic. Making space for my kids stuff is taking priority over my hobby.
I am the third owner the car. I belive it has appoximately 6k miles on the original engine (rebuilt). I will answer what I can about the car. I have included a couple pictures and have more at requests.
I have seen this car priced between 35k and 125k. Selling for 45k. This car is in very, very good condition. Needs some work as it is 40 years old but it is well worth what I am asking.
Please no low ball offers or riduculous replies. If you dont waste my time I wont waste yours.
Thanks,
I agree with Rob's theory on Sportos! Pretty obvious that they will be the ones to own once our left knees go bad and we start suffering from pains in our right shoulders.

S-spoiler and looks like the wheel caps, if not the wheels too, have received some love. Perhaps from the wheel master's wife? And, with air conditioning, no less. Not that common an option to retain in the Pacific NW.
Looks like a nice car. Obviously, the folks walking away didn't think so. I'm certainly no expert, but didn't the Sportos say "Sportomatic" on the engine lid? (My 1968 -L did.) Or, was that only the earlier cars?

The guy has been all over the place on pricing...first $45K, then hoping for close to $100K, then people started walking away and now he's back down in the 60-75 range. Buyers just get a bad taste in their mouth dealing with sellers like this. He also states the car is original paint...and its not...and not a great respray.
