seat adaptors
Does anyone have drawings to make the seat adaptors to take '74 or later seat and install it in a 74' or earlier car. I purchased some seats from a 78 and want to temporarily install them in a 72 s. My orginal seats were gone, and I can't swallow the 2500 for a set of sport seats.
Thanks
Steve

Do a search at Pelican Parts BBS. One of the posters published at set of drawings to show how to make adapter plates.
If you are handy, you can do this pretty easily your self. The plates are 1/4" with holes drilled to match the seat rails and the holes in the floor. The old seats are 18" center to center. The newer seats are 16" center to center.
One other thing to consider is how to mount the lap portion of your belts as the mounts for the early cars are part of the seat. In my car, I had "ears" added to the adapters to give me a place to bolt them in.
Good luck.
