Brian Long's "Porsche 911, The Definitive History 1963 to 1971" yes, and it's pretty good.
I think it is somewhat lacking in technical info, but has great race info and cool early advertisements. Overall, a good addition to the library. I paid $37 something through barnes and noble.com.
Shawn.
thanks for reminding me kevin. this book did indeed looked promising upon skimming through it at the local bookstore.
thanks for the heads up on the price shawn. just ordered it on-line for $34.
the tax that the ROW charges to us Alaskan's. Everyone pm Bob for his less costly contact. :D
Shawn.
Thanks for that Kevin. I just bought the book through amazon.com for $35 and bought Karl E. Ludvigsen's "Porsche: Excellence Was Expected" for $169 as well. Shipping to England was only $30
Altho I do not nearly have as much knowledge as many of you on the board, this book is worth every penny.....go get one....great for all of us early fans....
Thanks, lads. I'm on it. Any info on swb cars is good info.
I just received mine, so I'm in the early chapters. So far, so good. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is the first in a series which the author will tacle by time period, so more early car stuff to come !!
