Vintage Porsche Martini international Racing Club umbrella seat with quality Fox frame. It looks like new in this shot but closer inspection shows it is genuine original and it has patina wear commensurate with age.

In addition I have the Porsche maroon 60s umbrella seat Featherlite that are nice ( not pictured but same as examples in previous posts )
I’ve seen plenty Martini Racing umbrellas with handles not (m)any with seats (increasingly seeing new repro but the difference is obvious).
I also noticed mine is branded both PORSCHE and MARTINI. However is my impression correct that these vintage umbrellas with seats don’t often say PORSCHE together with Martini? Martini sponsored a number of other teams over the years, in fact I worked for an F1 team when it was sponsored by Martini a few years ago.
What years did Martini livery get used in Porsche racing was it from around 1968? I know there were 1973 911 M491 in Martini livery as well as livery in other racing models before and after appearing on Porsche into the mid possibly late 70s.
Not for sale both these umbrella seats are roughly contemporary so reasonably complement my MY 73 911 RS, I suppose?
Fox is a premium umbrella maker since the 1800s based in England. The ones they made for the 60s Avengers’ John Steed (arguably one of the most famous umbrella men for my generation) sometimes his props had swords in handle!

A ground spike only on the seat version but maybe still useful in an overcrowded classic car show :)
For those interested in quality and tradition Fox are among the worlds best:

Attachment 579464 There may be better condition maroon ones but I like the patina especially the fading on each panel where it has sat furled-up on the rear shelf for of 911 decades and caught the sun on the edges where as rolled. Bought it from the original owner.
Maker S. Fox & Co are still in business at a workshop about 7 miles from here, being a quality company since the 1800s they stand by their products for life therefore will replace the nylon (or silks on the older frames) as a service. However I think it would be a pity to do that as there are no holes or rips — just like cars they’re only original once.
Comparison to my Martini Porsche one also a genuine Fox frame:

More panels on maroon the Martini Porsche might be difficult to display the logo pattern if more ribs?
Couple of originality details:

It is also marked “featherwate”
Original brochure W297 had similar one (Dennis post# 4 of this thread) but images on that post has disappeared so adding here*:

Acknowledgements to owners of images I have reposted.
(*Dennis it looks like images from your post #4 showing the 1971 GB/German accessories brochure X71 have disappeared but could be interesting to reinstate them if your pictures got lost in error. Assuming X is October seems they were available for model 72 programme or maybe even later ?)

These „Paragon umbrellas“ - the name of the subframe - were manufactured in England for Porsche by Samuel Fox & Co Limited, London. Fox umbrellas, established in 1868, really are the Rolls Royce of the brolly. Still today Fox manufactures umbrellas in their UK factory, in Croydon at 240 Wickham Street - Steve mentions it above..;)
Hi Haul are you saying Porsche offered these as his and hers version in this catalogues or just that is how you share the two in your household?
S. Fox and Co have told me they could replace the nylon covers on their frames and have a range of best quality nylon. They have various colours including several Maroon hues. The Martini Porsche nylon material unsurprisingly is no longer in stock for this renovation service. Didn’t discuss if Porsche logo nylon was available but pretty certain it is not maybe a non issue for some as it seems only one type had PORSCHE in the nylon. The seat / handle is engraved PORSCHE clearly referenced in the catalogue. I don’t need the Porsche logo material for my version so what they have in stock would work but I wouldn’t recover mine as I like the sun faded patina from years sitting on a rear shelf of a 911. Seems more apt to for use in a classic car than a recovered one. However it is good that the original British manufacturer provides renovation service estimated on my case less than £100 for their umbrella that is half a century old. I expect the factory see umbrellas back for repair that are much older. Comparing post #4 from Dennis and the most recent from Haul it seems these umbrella seats were offered 1968 to at least 1971 and that there were at least two slightly different maroon / ruby versions offered.
I’d be curious to hear from folks who have the 68-71 accessory brochures when the small design change to spike and material happened. Is the fixed base spike as found on my maroon one the later version — I suspect so given the fixed spike is same for my Martini one which we know is Porsche (not some other Martin sponsored marque ) because both are printed on the nylon whereas some others I’ve seen just referenced Martini racing so might be other marqu/team ? Did the Martini versions appear in accessories catalogue for or were they just for race team members?
Fabulous items Haul!
