Wheel widths for 72 911
My car is a 1972 911S, std body but rear wheels arches have been "rolled". Will 8 x 15's fit without touching the inside of the guard on hard cornering or big bumps? or are 7's the widest I can go. Also recommended "from experience" tire sizes please.
Thanks

8's without flaring??? You'd be among the first, if not the first to do that....far be it for me to say anything is impossible, though.

Thanks, thought so ...
How's the Irish Green 2.4S? Would the general consencus be 7s all round then? Tire sizes please???

7's all around on my car. Suspension beefed considerably (19mm sway bars f&R, torsion bars are 23-28, done long ago in Grady Clay's shop, Denver, Colorado.) to lessen lean, and I'm running 195/65 tires to give the fenderwells a full look. Some guys like 205/60 or even lower profile.

I think I'm going with 7x15 with 205/50/15 Hoosiers for autoXing.

That sounds like a great Auto-X set-up...skinny profile tires are kind of like getting short gears for free! :) For the street, I may be weird, but I like being as close to original tire diameter as possible...speedo accuracy, fuel economy, and I dunno...I just like the look of fenderwells with rubber in them instead of air...
