Either way - sweet wheel. Congrats!
Had to be off-line from moderating for a few days. Moved to trades. Thanks!
Could someone please define "vintage"?
Thanks,
John
I am in same boat on understanding these and would like to help my education while the experts are hopefully tuned in.
I assume NZVW is showing the "stacked" MOMO, Please see attached pics below any help with correcting my minimal understanding is appreciated, hopefully with the first subject wheel being sold I am not stepping on any ones toes
Wheel diameters how many different did they make and or is there a tolerance on the diameter?? my wheel measures with a metric tape almost 365 would this be a 360 or 365mm?
On dished wheels did they all have the same offset? and if NO, I assume the offset would be measured only on the aluminum not including the wrap.
On "early series" stacked is later? See pics below, I am under the impression that I have a late 60's to early 70's wheel, is dished, bare anodize, non stacked, logo is between the first (from wheel diameter) and second hole, the made in Italy & M 20340 is on the back of center spoke, and the horn push is the "large"
Have had this wheel about 20 yrs, it is currently in my late 65 912 which I am about to put the orig VDM wood wheel back in for a while. It has lived in my 71 Targa as well as 67 912 SWT but I know few "real facts"
Your help is appreciated!
Best Regards
