No Richard, not quite what I said.
Not An option,,,, Standard on the 71S. Homologation tidbit. I believe they are also mentioned in Dr Johnsons book.

Agree, used to race homologate the 71S as a 4 seater. Dont know how many cars were equipped with.
Here is the only period pic I ve seen, published in the 1971 brochure RoW. (came in many languages)
Check the rear seats..one can partly seen them.

Ok. I get it now. This may have been the way the 911 became a sedan for the old Trans Am series.

I still have the set of these that came with my 1971 S project. I did not know what they were for until this great forum set me straight !! George Kehler in Tennessee
