No secret #’s.
A young Audi TTRS owner Saturday asked my friend with a 1600 Super Speedster, if the super was for supercharged!
I have looked for the hidden number behind the ashtray but its still hidden. Is this different than the production number under the radio? Could anyone give specifics where to look? Thanks.
Hhhhh . . .
. . . well/anyway --- here's how I located the 'production number' (aka 'secret number') on my '70 . . .

.................
My grease pencil number and the stamped number under the radio match......., BUT they do not match the true VIN on the A pillar and sticker on the driver's door jamb and title. The guy either had partaken in too many adult beverages because he swapped some "1"s for some "0"s. Maybe, as near as I can tell from production numbers, it was because my car was built near Christmas or the week between Christmas and New Years that year.... dunno!
