Hello Everyone!
I have a 1969 Targa in shop. customer wants to put a 911T badge on the rear gate above the Porsche logo. Does anyone have measurements or a diagram that we can reference to ensure the badge goes in the right place.

Hi
I think the holes for both the Porsche script and the 911T script should be drilled into the deck lid...

Hi stephen,
This customer's vehicle was just a regular 911 targa. So his only has the holes for the Porsche script. I now need to add the 911T in as an addition.
A '69 targa would originally have been either a 911T, 911E or 911S depending on which it was. There was no such thing as a "regular 911 targa" in '69. If there are no holes for the emblem on the rear deck, either the holes have been filled or the deck lid has been replaced with a later one ('74-89).
First thing to note is whether the car is really a T, or an E or S. (This can be determined from the VIN. All we need are the first 5 numbers, not necessary to give the entire VIN if you don't want to share it. A '69 911T targa VIN will start with 11911.) Also, Does the deck lid have holes for the PORSCHE lettering down low near the back, and are the license lamps (or empty holes) present under the lip of the lid on either side of the latch?
