So, how early '68 gear case are you seeking? What number range?

The original transmission-case nr. of my car was *2281150*

Just because I have the technical specifications book on my desk here, It appears your *2281150* original gearbox is a type 901/03, falling in the range of 2280001-2289999 for 1968, as a SX (Standard or Special order at extra cost) 5-speed transmission. Hope that helps!?
