What are the main differences between a 76-77 3.0 liter turbo case (930/53) and a standard early 911 SC case, like the 78-80? Also, do both use the same 70.4 crank?
Thanks
Nick

Trusting to memory here Nick, I think the 76-77 aluminum cases still used the main bearing size and 6 bolt flywheel from the first generation engines. 78 and up started the 9 bolt flywheels and larger main diameters. I'm sure some one will verify or correct
Thanks Ed, I think that’s correct regarding the 6 bolt flywheel being used on the early turbo case.
Yup. Crankshaft...6 bolt 75-77 3.0L cases ... 9-bolt 78 and later.
