I am on the lookout for a front sway bar for my 1968 N. At this stage it has none. I was thinking about 15mm through the body set up.
Anyone removed/replaced one for racing?

No go so far on this. Will keep looking. I see some thicker ones on PP. How can you best check Porsche Australia original parts online?
Merv, I reckon for a light little car like yours to stick to 11 or 13, especially if you're not adding a rear bar. If you put a heavy bar on the front the car will tend to push and understeer. I ran my car for many years without sway bars (Ts never got them) and never really had an issue until track days when I was driving 8/10ths.
You will pick up a complete front in the US for around $150 used and then factor in about $50 for new bushes... of course getting it here will be the killer. Also, don't forget that your 68 has different drop links to the 69> cars... the drop link bolts to the A-arm. On the 69 and later cars there is a tab welded to the A-arm.
I put a 15 on my swb and it over steers now (didnt have anything before as 68s did not come with sway bars stock). i am backing down to a 13 for this reason. not selling my 15 though...
Call David Falson at East Coast Suspensions in Sydney Merv.
We went through mine many years ago, and from memory my car (aussie 911L) already had a front bar. We fitted the rear, and it was much (and still is) so much better!

These look good at 13 or 15mm
