Porsche 906 / Carrera 6 technical informations

Hello everybody.

I'm new to this forum, and i registered because it seems that there is a huge porsche's knowledge arround.

I'm planning to build a 906 replica.

I would need to know which parts are shared beetwen the 906 and the early 911.

Brake calipers?
Electric bits?
Steering components?
...

Any help would be great.
If anyone had a copy of the factory parts listing for exemple.

I believe most of the suspension, steering, and brakes were from the 904, since the 906 was designed to use up the spare 904 parts which had been ordered, thinking there would be another run of 904s. The 910 was the 906-10 which was built after those parts were used up and the Race Department was able to use lighter, better components with grand prix racing technology.

The engines in the 906s are similar to 911R in horsepower and torque but used Magnesium for crankcase and other bits that were Aluminum on the 911R. The fan was also smaller to account for the higher revs of a racing engine. The 906 also had MFI before the 911, I believe.
