This right-hand drive 911T was purchased new in Scotland by a Mr Campagna via the Glen Henderson dealership in Ayrshire. The current (second) owner purchased the Porsche via the Green Card Motor Company, London in 1977 when it had covered 17,000 miles (current odometer reading 62,000 miles). Always a second car, the 911 has been used for holidays and pleasurable outings only, including local shows and road runs, and has seldom been driven in the rain. It has been serviced and MoT'd annually, on the last occasion by Canford Classics, Dorset in March 2016 (see bill for £1,500 on file). A new CDI unit was fitted this year and the car is said to start readily and run well, with no smoke. Presented in generally very good condition, apart from a few minor blemishes to the original paintwork, this pampered Porsche is offered with the original maintenance record and owner's handbook, sundry service/maintenance invoices, current MoT, and a V5C registration document.

BaT Description:
This 1968 Porsche 911T is a matching-numbers example on offer by its third owner, who has recommissioned the car into a reliable driver. Chassis 11820482 was produced in December 1967, originally finished in Bahama Yellow with engine #2080533 that remains in the car today. It was taken off the road in 1979 for an engine rebuild and a repaint in the current blue. The car has rust in the front suspension pan and elsewhere, and can be driven as-is or restored to a higher level. The seller purchased the car last year and has since done considerable work to make it roadworthy, including rebuilding the carburetors, distributor, brake calipers, and master cylinder. The car is sold with a clean California title and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
Originally Bahama Yellow (6805), this 911T was repainted in blue in 1980. Paint is adequate for a driver with flaws. The car appears mostly stock with standard wheels and hubcaps. There is dimpling around the body and some bubbling on the hood. Panel gaps look even, and trim appears to be in good condition.
The interior appears mostly stock, with what appear to be the original brown leatherette seats and the steering wheel. The original stereo has also been retained, although speakers were added in the door panels. The passenger and rear seats look nice, but the outer surfaces of the driver’s seat shows deformation on the seat base and seam separation on the seatback.
The seller believes this engine to be an early aluminum-cased version of Porsche’s 2.0L flat six. Other deferred maintenance was addressed with new fuel hoses and replaced front wheel bearings. The electrical system has been gone through, and the engine bay has been detailed. The seller owned and operated a VW/Porsche shop in Arizona and has rebuilt the calipers, installed fresh brake pads and resurfaced rotors, and replaced the shift bushings. He says the car feels good on the road. Engine number is 2080533 and verified by the Porsche COA. Sources vary, but the change to magnesium cases appears to have occurred around February of 1968. This car was manufactured in December of 1967.
Substantial overspray is present under the car. A patch is noted on the driver’s side floor pan and there is rust-through in the front suspension pan. This SWB 911 looks like a good candidate for a rolling restoration, and can be improved over time depending how far the new owner wishes to go.
