fat drivers and skinny tires,

Gotta love that thick post war American metal...
Heck I'm not that old and still remember my dad laying down the back seat and letting my brothers and I roll around on our way to the lake while my mom chain-smoked. We could even fall asleep as we rolled around in the back. Things have changed yes. For the better I'm not sure but they have changed. :)
Dude's wearing a polo cap.
They just don't make 'em like they used to. :(
Great photo. I love the Woody Woodpecker on the hood. Is that Daytona (Beach)? Road racing with left turns only...
I have early memories of standing in the middle of the bench seat of Dad's '58 Plymouth, the dash-top mirror waiting to impale me on my way through the windshield, both parents with a Salem blazing away and an elbow out the window...
I love these comments!:D

I know this was 1957, don't know where. The 4-digit phone #'s are classic. It looks like it rolled a couple of times. I wonder if he even had a lap belt? Probably not - just grab the steering wheel tight and hold on for the ride. Walked away unscathed in any case
