'. . . about 1,580 cars were built and of these only 200 examples were built to the Sport specification. These cars are considered unique and desirable not only for their outstanding power and handling qualities, but also because they are the only production 911’s built up from specially lightened panels in order to minimise their body shell weight.
These Carrera RS’s, later so called “lightweight production cars” have been made lighter by merely removing some comfort options such as electric motors for window winders, sound proofing etc.
This car, chassis 1528 is the fifth from last Sport 471 car built and was originally supplied new in Germany where it remained until 1988 being used mainly for hill climbs. The car was then imported to England via Guernsey in 1989. This car comes with a comprehensive history file and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, as well as all the tools and handbooks . . .'
