    bracket on rear deck 1968

    The 68 seems to have a bracket on the rear deck - or at least some do. Just checking - how common were these and can I confirm their purpose? Mine are missing and trying to decide whether to re-install them.

    They are for the luggage straps, there is another pair below the jump seats that the strap feeds through.

    the sierramadre brackets are for lwb cars, not swbs...

    True Andrea70 and also thanks for the explanation Jim. Did the 68N actually have these? I have the inner portion of the bracket there.

    Yes, 68 normals did have the luggage strap brackets. I can't post a photo right now, but if you search for my posts, I think I've uploaded one before.
