    FS: @Classic Driver - '73 'S' . . .

    VIN = 9113300033
    Eng# = ?
    Trans# = ?

    . . . This stunning matching number Porsche 911 2.4 S is the 33 rd car from the 1973 model year. It was delivered in September 1972. It is in pristine and original condition. In original Porsche color 'Gold Metallic’. Colour code 8888. Comes with full history since 1975. The car was originally bought by E.F. Grochowski from Oakland, California, who drove it with pleasure from 1973 until it was being used by a family member, Tommie Grochowski. These original Californian owners sold it finally in 1997 and it was brought into The Netherlands in August of 1997 . . .

    . . . The car has always been serviced by Porsche specialists . . .

    . . . It was delivered with options like an electric sunroof, airconditioning, tinted glass, Blaupunkt radio/cassette and an original comfortable Recaro sport interior. The car also comes with the optional Sportomatic transmission, which had to be specially requested. Porsche engineers achieved the feat of eliminating the clutch, without robbing the car of its performances, reliability and pleasure. One of the first Porsches with Sportomatic went on to win the 1967 Nurburgring 84-hour endurance race . . .

    . . . The car has been in The Netherlands since 1997. The engine and gearbox have been completely rebuilt. The exceptional gearbox was recently rebuilt by our top 911 specialists Kraan with great care. In 1997 the car had driven 104.000 miles, the odometer was lateron replaced in Holland with one that had a scale in kilometers. To date the car has driven an additional 27.176 kilometers . . .

    . . . The body is completely clear of any damage or rust, all meters in the dashboard function perfectly, as to be expected. The aluminium is polished and in good health. The matching nr. powerful 2.4L 6-cilinder boxer engine runs very smooth and is dry. The black leather interior looks splendidly original. Brakes, suspension and shock-dampers are all splendid. The steering is spot-on, the all original underside of the car has been waxed and is in very good condition . . .

    . . . With the car is a thick file of invoices from 1975 onwards. It consists of a great many things required on a 40 year old sportscar; rebuilt brakes, bearings, new exhaust system and filling material to the original seats. In total we see more than 45.000 Euro of invoices in the file of work done in Holland alone! Furthermore it has valuation reports and invoices from 1975 until 1997 in California . . .

    . . . With the car are original tools and books (instruction manual, radio manual) . . .

    . . . The best Porsche is generally the last model built by Porsche. In the classic 911 F series the 911 2.4 S is the best model you can get. The car we have here is presented in a fabulous period color, heavily optioned and in fantastic condition! . . .

    They didn't like the AC but the original Sportomatic is still in the car.
