Early 911's on an early autumn morning in Sydney

I just received my L back a week ago and I'm looking for excuses to drive it. There are a few little things to complete, but I'm delighted with the results.

I'll post a blow by blow description of the resto elsewhere.

When Andy B mentioned his new purchase ( a 71 squirrelled out of Brisbane) needed checking over for NSW historic plates, I needed no excuse to suggest I drive over (in the L of course!).

The shots below just presented themselves.

    Enjoy.

Early 911s at rest in Autumn light

And one more for your viewing pleasure.

A striking looking car - and its well on it way to being the basis for a very good driver soon I suspect.

The blue car was an astute buy I think...

Looking forward to the restoration thread!

Justin it was great to catch up and I'm very jealous of your beautiful car, congrats! I love the colour, super period correct.

Once again superb work by to John and George at Zags and John Pisani for his interior.

Thanks for the comments on the blue car, I'm liking it more and more. I took it out to Zags and Michael Newton, both were complimentary. It's no having a holiday with Michael as he investigates a couple of gearbox issues. Cant wait to get it back.

Interestingly while I was there I had a look at a 2014 GT3R, Jesus what a beast. Michael reckons it will be about twice the price to run per event compared with the 2013 model. It makes running a 2.0litre look sooo cheap..

Once again thanks to John F for helping with the purchase of the blue car and to those who offered encouragement.
