    How many Targas?

    How many 911 and 912 Targas were produced before 1975, by type?

    a lot.....

    Take a look at the Red Book by Paternie, it has many production numbers. They may not be spot on but you'd be very close. If I were to take a stab at it I would say at least 10,000 from MY 1967 up to 1975.

    Well this got me interested as well... doing some quick searching on the interwebz I found info on 912 targas on the 912 registry...

    "Porsche constructed a total of 2562 912 Targas, less than 8 percent of all 912s"

    Also I have run accross numbers for the 1967 cars before and found them again - can't say for sure it is 100% accurate (isn't the interwebz always 110% right??? ) but it looks like they made about 718 911 targas in 1967 and of those 483 were 911s's...
