    After working with a new repop recently I have to say that an OEM aluminum decklid is a deal at any price.

    These new ones are too flimsy ... yes, they are even more flimsy than the originals! Hard to believe, I know.

    If you want, Rolly, you can bolt the lid to my car and I'll flash it around town for you.

    That what I figured when I went on a 2 year quest to find a perfect original alloy lid. Finally found a flawless lid after much digging. Saw many that "only needed a little repair" but once they are damaged it is incredibly hard to bring them back.

    I was thinking of making magnetic warning signs to stick onto my rear quarters, shaped like an arrow pointing to the lid and saying "do not touch aluminum lid!"
