Well, I don't know when I'll ever find one, so can this piece be installed after the motor is in? I wouldn't be driving for a while yet, Thx

Did you try the bird? I found my tin there. What is the specific application your looking for? 67s? I have a couple of people I can ask. PM or email me.

I think it's a '65 thru early '67 part, has dip on left to clear fuel pump boss in timing chain cover. Thanks

Well, through the sheer goodness of a board member here, I now have my much needed tin piece. It needs to be rubbed on a bit, but eventually it'll be perfect.
This kind soul was generous enough that he sent it to me for no charge….that's right, not a penny!
He had a part he didn't need, was a touch rough, and shipped it to someone who could use it, without any lengthy price/valuation analysis, no "due-diligence", no interest in "setting the market" price…..just one Porsche enthusiast helping out another!
    Now that's refreshing.
I encourage all to ponder this post, and perhaps rediscover what got you into this 'hobby' in the first place.

    Brian,

Good to hear that you got your piece. I appreciate you selling me your old but nicely refreshed tin one for a reasonable price. It amazes me that some of the professional "hobby" sellers on this forum can't see the forest for the trees, such as a trying to sell a nice 69 E MFI pump for a couple of thousand and then selling a needs to be rebuilt POS 69 S MFI pump for twice the amount, same very proud and loud forum seller!

    Regards,

    Dan

There are a few professional Hobby sellers that consistently ask almost double market value for their parts here...sometimes at ridiculous levels. Not much lovin from them... So Brian, now I feel bad for selling you that fuel tank
