    Rebel Racing?

A few of us in Australia are wanting to invest in some of Rebel Racing's transmission bushes for early cars. Having written a several times to RR, and the last time to everyone on their list of staff, so far no replies at all. Is this a vacation period now in the CA?

It is difficult to phone from here due to the time differences, so email is important. I can expect that they might be busy, but ... Has anyone else had problems with RR?

I've never had trouble getting in touch with Chuck at Elephant Racing.

Clint at Rebel makes good parts, too, but ease of access and FANTASTIC customer service steers me to Elephant Racing time and time again.

Interesting. I might have to get up early or stay up late and call them and see if they are still operating.

I just sent Clint Jonathan et al an email.

Heard from Max the other day and he said he would chase up Clint.

If we get stuck its modify the 915 x member or the wevo fix

    See how we go

I don't really work there anymore (got a different full-time job after graduation and moved away) but my email is still active there.

Clint has a 1970 911T so I think the mounts work for a 901 crossmember (I am assuming the 901 mount is the same as a 911), but he did have a 2.4 liter in there for a while, and is going to a 3.0 liter. But I think I still saw a dogleg pattern on the shift knob last time I was up there.

As far as shipping, usually Clint tries to ship the cheapest method, but once he tried doing multiple, small (flat-rate?) boxes to an international customer (since it was cheaper than one big box) but that customer told him to stop and send everything at once because I guess customs charged per package or something like that.

So I can't really answer why the shipping quote was $114 for the mounts.

I got up early and called them in CA on their listed number. No answer. Called the alternative number and found Jonathan and he immediately sent me a PaPal invoice with freight at $35 rather than $114. All good.

I just had a LONG phone conversation with Clint. Turns out he has had a very, very rough year due to family illness. This is not to be an excuse for not returning calls, but it does explain why.

He says that for future reference, Jonathan is the point of contact now. Please use Jonathan's email and phone number first, as he should be much quicker to respond (meaning he is responsive even by normal standards ).
