Would "Ziebart" plugs make you run away from an early car???

Curious what the concensus is concerning Ziebart rust proofing and all holes that have been drilled throughout the chassis and accompanying plugs?

I had a Porsche early on that had the Ziebart treatmen (done by the PO), and it really drove me crazy.
For some reason, it makes me think the car was molested or something.

If you had a chance to buy a very nice early 911, would you walk if you saw Ziebart plugs?
    Inquiring minds want to know....

    Thanks guys.

Actually, it make make me run faster towards the car! I've seen a few that have been Ziebarted and they've all been solid cars for the most part. Yeah, the plugs look goofy and might compromise the strength a teeny, tiny bit...not nearly as much as rust holes!!!

I'm sure others, such as the OP, might have an opinion 180 degrees from mine.

I've often see it highlighted as a positive selling point when cars are listed for sale...

FYI... My 72 Targa has them and it is in great condition (whether or not that is due to the Ziebart treatment is a whole separate discussion!)

There is a term I've never heard of. What exactly are Ziebart plugs? I'm assuming that it's an aftermarket treatment to limit rust?

The plugs are placed in the holes drilled into the body.

It wouldn't bother me, I see it as part of the history of the car.

I wouldn't run, but I'd look very closely. Done correctly when the car was new, it definitely would have helped to protect some of the hidden 911 rust traps. If done later in the cars life when the owner realized there could be rust issues, God only knows. I've seen it both ways.

wouldn't concern me at all. You can always fit the plugs a little better to make it less noticeable.

I always figured this would be a major league ding if you ever wanted to concours or show your car.

Just something about staring at all those plugs in the door jams puts me off I guess....

I would have fun with it and play it up as a part of the cars history at a concours d'elegance...

As I recall it, Ziebart plugs were yellow with the company name molded in positive relief.
