Added by the team so they could pick their 911 out from other racers at the night races (Daytona and Sebring)

Are you certain that is an "L"? I notice it has 911T rocker deco, instead of wide decos that L & S models had.

S-trim aka Comfort equipment w S-deco and bumper trim was also available for RoW / Euro cars.

Of course any racer didnt need those..but surprised above car actually had kept its trim.

That's Herb Wetson;s car. He was the guy who owned Wetsons Hamburgers and could have been Ray Croc (McDonalds) if he didn't piss all of his money away on cars. Probably an American Porsche and not ROW. Hamburgers used to be $.25 and you could eat lunch there for under a buck.

That's one of the 28 911L cars with the 901/30 engine race/rally, per this thread:

    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ght=911L+rally

I have one of these 911L's and the trim was narrow style (I have original pics of the car showing narrow trim)
