    FS: @Driver Source - '71 'S' . . .

    VIN = 9111310252
    Eng# = 6310649
    Trans# = 7113609

    '. . . This 1971 Porsche 911 S . It is equipped with a 5 Speed Manual transmission. The vehicle is Silver with a Black Leatherette interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - 1971 Porsche 911S Targa Chassis No. 9111310252 Engine No. 6310649 A very Honest and Original 911S with only 2-Owners from New Numbers-Matching as per Porsche Certificate of Authenticity Fully Documented California Car with Records since New Desirable 2.2L S with great Original Colors Offered with Books, Tools, Records, COA, and Much More. Single California Ownership for the last 35 years . . .

    . . . With a continuous production run of over 50 years, the Porsche 911 has developed, evolved, evaded execution, matured and has been transformed in a style that no other automobile has ever experienced. It is an industry phenomenon, and the fascination with this evergreen sports car is still capturing new fans today as much as it did after its launch in 1963 . . .

    . . . Delivered on September 3, 1971 to Niello Porsche-Audi, Ltd. of Sacramento, California, this 911S Targa was purchased new by David Schmidt from nearby Carmichael. Porsche's Certificate of Authenticity confirms the vehicle was optioned from the factory as a US equipment car with tinted glass, antenna with loudspeaker and noise suppression. Cibie 35 Fog Lamps were installed new by the dealer, and less than a year later Dr. Schmidt commissioned Niello to also fit a complete Behr air conditioning system. In 1979, a Mr. Meikle of Woodland, CA acquired the Porsche (with 6,000 miles) from Schmidt and would go on to care for the 911for the following 35 years . . .

    . . . This honest and well documented 911 has spent its entire life in the greater Sacramento area, as made very apparent by its abnormally original and corrosion-free chassis/undercarriage. The complete numbers-matching Targa remains largely original today and wears an older repaint in silver over its original Metallic Blue paint. The cabin features Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, Recaro sport seats, sisal floor mats and period Amco shift knob among largely original upholstery. The car's interior, engine/luggage compartments and trim remain essentially untouched and well preserved. Mechanically, the car is quite strong, included documentation shows the 911 was regularly serviced by local specialists . . .

    . . . Other important original artifacts include the Owner's Manual in sleeve, Maintenance Record Booklet in sleeve, replacement Porsche battery/Behr air conditioning/radio warranty cards, California Certificate of Approval for the Cibie fog lamps and several registration cards from new of both owners. This wonderful two-owner 2.2-Liter S comes fully documented with important original accessories, perfect as a maintained spirited driver or an honest base for a light cosmetic preservation . . .

    . . . Rarely do 911s with ALL history known from new and such honest bones surface to market. Offered with its much desired goodies such as Owner's Manual, Warranty Bookelet, Toolkit, Jack, 10/70 date coded Spare, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, California Blue Plate, and an impressive history file this 911S Targa will be a surely satisfy the taste of the most discerning collector and purist alike. $148,500.00 USD . . .

    I saw this car last week, it looks better on picks than in person, nice sellers, asking price is 150 K ! It's a very complete car thought. If anyone else to see I can gladly stop by, there are just 5 minutes away from my house.
