    ATE Brake Fluid questions...

    Trying to find out which is the appropriate fluid to use (now that Blue has disappeared) and where to buy it... it seems it is no longer available in Ontario or Quebec? Any leads appreciated!

    The ATE TYP200 is exactly the same fluid...minus the blue color.

    Yes, the blue color was just an aid to help visualize the new fluid coming out of the bleeder. Same stuff otherwise.

    I am nearing the point of filling my brake system that includes new lines, master cylinder and rebuilt PMB rebuilt calipers. I have used Castrol LMA GT for years, but if the ATE product is markedly better I'm all in...thoughts please. P.S. this is an entirely stock 73 S that will get only limited street use.

    Unless you're racing and pushing your caliper temperatures way up it simply doesn't matter what you choose, provided it is a quality product. Castrol and ATE are both just fine. I'd pick whatever's cheaper/easier to get.

    If you are not going to drive it much, you'll be flushing more often so use whatever good brand is available.
