    FS: NOS Bendix Pump

I purchased this pump a year ago. It's NOS in the box and has been tested. I also have a new Banjo Kit for it. I came close to purchasing a 66 and didn't, so no need for the pump now. Pump has a small dent on top; I am adjusting the price for it.

Price: $875 including domestic shipping plus 3% if using paypal. Please PM me if interested.

The next time someone invests $40.00, paints it up or polishes it up and slaps a new sticker on it.

Probably not too far off Mike but here's the breakdown:

    Pump and fittings: $250
    Box: $750

Just for posterity, would you please take a picture of the markings on the mounting flange?

Ich ben der fuel pump.. See, this hobby is improving my German.

I am glad to see this listing and know how much John is willing to pay for one

It was surprising for me to see the box in German, but I guess that's what the ones made for Porsche were like: drilled for metric banjo from the factory and labeled for the end user. Still made in US, no wait - made in West Germany... part #111230. I thought since they were Bendix they would have been made in Indiana. OK, I know, homework, yada yada.

Given that I have not searched the archives today (and that the item sold), can I ask if that box puts a date on the pump? And over what period were these pumps with these labels manufactured/used on Porsches?

And what is the output of a 111230? Was it made specifically for Porsche? Was 111230 the number on the pumps installed in the cars when new?

And can anybody date this US Bendix pump?

    2.5 - 4 psi.

Very interesting. And spendy too! When will another appear? Could be sooner than later if this is a new high. I did learn that Bendix sold off many divisions in 1974 and that Facet was an acronym for Filters, Automotive Components and Environmental Technology. Those tractor collectors are the real historians!

    cheers -
