How to install emblem on glove compartment

I am replacing the missing 911E emblem on the glove compartment. I wanted to check with you guys to see if there is a special process for this as I do not want to harm the emblem or the glove compartment cover. The cover have two holes matching the pins on the back of the emblem. I do not see anything from the back of glove compartment door, so I wonder if the emblem is just pushed and/or glued in place?

    Regards
    Nick

I am interested in the answer to this question as well. My '70 911T is missing the emblem on the glove box and there is no sign of any holes where the emblem once was.

the the emblem is joined to the base plate by expanding the end of the two pins ...a permanent joint so to say..but .if you are carefull you can separate the parts. and re-use the emblem...sometimes it works sometimes not

dont know if porsche changed the methode somewhen at least on some swb i have seen it done this way
