    Brass plate from my 911 s 2.2

    Hello forum
Was wondering if anyone could help with a query that has bothered me for 25 years now! My first 911 was a German spec left hand drive non sunroof 911 s 2.2, a prior to restoring/ converting to an Rs replica, upon strip down I removed a brass plate stamped with chassis nos a various other numbers ,which had been riveted to the inspection cover for the steering drop link.
I still to this day don't know why it was there, as the original chassis plate was still on the car also!
My question is has anyone ever sen one of these, a if so what is it for a was it put there at production ? It looks professionally made, but why ? Would love to know any theories on this please. I no longer have the car 911 130 1331, but kept the plate. Now have a 69 s 2.0 right hand drive, but similar car in lots of ways.
Many thanks in advance for any help with this !

Belgian import plate, showing the conformity number PVA (procès-verbal d'agréation) and max. allowed weight in kg's.

Do you know if this car is still out there?? Would be cool to see the plate and chassis reunited. It is not listed in the Registry database.

Ten out of ten to hell raiser, superb correct result to which now tells me the cars original provenance, many many thanks for your excellent detail a knowledge on this query.
When I bought the car I was only 19 years of age, a knew nothing about Porsche cars, just knew they were special. Then now 27 years on from then do I realise how rare the 2.2 s really is, especially as Steve McQueen was so connected to this model,
Unfortunately when I purchased the car from a friend the engine was a 2.0 t on webbers, so the only route I could take was to carry out an Rs replica.I then sourced a 2.0 s car as a donor, then ran the engine for a while, a kept the rest of the car in storage, then I found a 2.2 s engine to put back into the chassis, so took the 2.0 s mech injection engine out a ran the 2.2 s engine, only to find that the Mr honest from Berkshire Uk had BU!@£(;; ah£)?!ll,:@@sh@ted me into believing the 2.2 s engine was spot on, only to find no oil pressure and a big end knock!! It was stuffed. So rebuilt it,refitted it then moved on to another S motor !!
So I then sourced a smashed up Right hand 2.4 s targa which was previously nearly concourse, a used this engine in the 2.2 s, which was a superb motor ! so basically I ran a 2.0, a 2.2 and a 2.4 s engine in the same chassis the 2.2 s over a period of 26 years, oh and of course the 2.0 t engine which I must say was pretty good a sounded ace.
Anyway I restored the car to my desire as an Rs replica and enjoyed her for several years, then tried to sell 911 130 1331 as a complete car around 1993' but no one wanted her, so I broke it up for spares, so the shell was sold through exchange a mart with log book, I think some one in Scotland had the chassis a log book, so hopefully still out there, a if so who ever has her proven ,is more than welcome to the brass Belgian import plate I still have !!

As for the 2.0 s I bought 25 years ago for a donor engine, 1969 right hand drive, mech injection ,then sold in bits over a period of a year to the same Guy, I recently bought back complete 26 years on to restore at an increase of over 500percent in value i, but how lucky I am, a so pleased to have the Chance to own the 911 s again ! A mad turn around after such a long time, a now my journey begins again with a wonderful car that just had to come back to me,Name: image.jpg

Keep in mind Steve sold the 70S and kept his 69S, so he probably liked this model even better
