FS: RS Carrera 380mm steering wheel...the real deal

There are lots of steering wheels advertised here that proport to be off an RS

Parts manual say 914 347 806 10 is the correct part number for an RS wheel.

    This wheel has that number.

What is unusual is that all RS wheels I have seen before are dated much earlier than 12/72 but there is no doubting that this wheel
has been dated 12/72 from the factory. Check out the pics, no doctoring of any numbers here.

It has the soft foam underneath its original leather, leather not in great shape in parts mainly top RHS.

Has a butterfly horn push, sorry not the plastic one like first series cars, the paint on it needs re doing.

High res pics for interested parties

Are all 806 10 wheels worth this sort of money or is this wheel a special case?

I think the date stamp drove the value. Other similarly coded wheels went for much less.

+1 Who crawled up 1970 RSR's skirt? Rick does all kinds of positive Early S efforts around here.
