Since tact seems to be slowly dissolving, might as well tee this one up.

The recent recession, stock market and housing crash took a very real wealth toll on many middle-class people as most here likely are. People are just enjoying having something that they can feel good about financially. And seeing retirement as a viable option again. Lighten up.

That's the first time I've ever been told to lighten up on this board. Perhaps my attempt at sarcastic humor wasn't obvious enough. Or perhaps I've officially flipped the bit and become the type of curmudgeon that used to chafe me when I came on board a decade ago.

With retirement a still decades away for me, this shift apparently doesn't resonate the same way for me. Good insight.

"the type of curmudgeon that used to chafe me when I came on board a decade ago."

    That certainly remains true enough.

    LOL.

See? I get your humor...why are my attempts coming across as obtuse? Perhaps the Seattle weather this week is getting to us both.

If only mine weren't at Eurotech having the inattention of others massaged out of its sheet metal.

Yep - Uninsured motorist, no less. Ended up being excuse to get a few things perfect that weren't. Fortunately, "minor" damage which only required slide hammer work to straighten a few things. I'd suspected the car had been hit prior, which was confirmed by the copious amounts of flowed lead removed from the rear.

Although with these cars, minor damage still means that the bill is never inconsequential.
