Dash-left door jam getting hot-73' targa

Is it normal for the very left lower and upper dash and left front inner door jam next to this area to get what feels to be unusually hot after 20-30 minutes of driving? If not what might cause the heat that I might diagnose?

    Thx

Are your heater hoses under the dash intact? Are heater valves working? Nothing else there to heat up. It is not electrical is it?

My thought is that it might be electrical. I can feel the heat from the heat system traveling under the left door sill next to the driver seat. I just didn't think that the heat system could cause the dash area and left doorjamb area to become almost too hot to touch.

Electrical would usualy have a unique smell from the hot insulation. I would not be surprised to find it is from the heating system. Right by the door jam, the heater tube silencers in the rockers end in a duct that turns up where a piece of fexible duct connects to bring the hot air to the dash blower. I would check the heater ducts in the engine bay. If they are closed and bringing the hot air up front. you may have a leak somewhere.
