    Help with Clutch

So I was pulling into my garage today, and when I pushed in the clutch pedal, I heard and felt a pop. Needless to say, now my clutch will not engage. I lifted the car, and looked at what was going on under there. Cable and ends are fine. I removed the clutch cable, and tried to push the fork backwards. It is just frozen, and will not move back

I am thinking my throwout bearing failed somehow. Any thing else I should consider.

When you say the clutch will not engage you mean the pressure plate is always clamping the clutch together, right?

The type 911 gearbox from 1970 and 1971 has a reputation for pulling the fork pivot out of the transaxle case as I understand it, though I have not had that happen.

I have not dropped the engine and looked things over yet. So I don;t know. Right now, all I can say is the fork can not be pulled backwards. It sounds like what you are suggesting is quite likely. Will have to see what I got when I get in there.
