    A 1968 911S Soft Window Targa with Factory 902 trans!

    I had heard a rumor that a few 911 cars with 912 transmissions existed, but here is one for sale with a Certificate of Authenticity showing it is true:

    Kardex appears to state 901/02, so the COA looks like a mistype...

    From 1966 through 1968 both type 902/0 & 902/1 were used in 911 & 912. Sometimes with separate serial ranges and sometimes from the same serial pool. So not unusual at all.

    Yes, for example, the Kardex for 304523 shows it shipped with a 902/1 and the "Little Spec Book" clearly notes the 902/0 and 902/1 as used in 911s.
