Not exactly an award winning auction; looked like one of mine.

    Maybe more pics next time?

    Hi
there seems to be another complete car with a pre-production engine. And some very interesting similarities, It is NOT an S either or are they more?

There are many "unique" and "rare" penalty. This is it really. The gorgeous coupe 1966 delivered as factory test car. In the original checkbook internal delivery is noted as "Porsche factory test car" in December 1966, which was also confirmed by the current Porsche Classic writing. During this "trial period", the car was equipped engine and transmission technology with a S engine. The original color is Silver Metallic (factory design study) with red leather interior and even has an electric sunroof of gold. The vehicle has the complete S-equipped with front and rear stabilizers and ventilated front brake discs. Particularly interesting is the engine. It is a 2.0 liter factory test engine from the first "100 series" that are normally never come in the sale (before start of production of the 901/911 from 1964). He has the engine number 900 032 (1963/64) and, interestingly, already the 911 S marking 901/02, which, however, gone into production until 1967. This engine is older than the only known yet 901 test car 7 by engine number 900 114 and thus even the "original version" of all S types. The first of its kind and thus a real rarity for collectors and in excellent unrestored condition.

    Hi
Yes we would love to find a good home for it and with the proceeds finish a home for my parents that has been a stalled project for a long time. And thanks to all that have been helpful with the research on this car.

    Thanks Bret

What did this end up selling for?

  10. #20
Sold for $90k according to the auction site. Don't know if that is with or without buyers premium. It appeared auction stalled at $70k across the block then a deal was done afterwards. Perhaps the seller can confirm. As mentioned earlier in this thread this car's color combo will look great when restored. Congrats to the seller This result is much better than what eBay brought.
