    Leistritz 901.011.09 11/73

I have had this muffler for many years and I don't know what it goes to.

I took it off a 914/6 that I don't know anything about (i.e. stock engine?).

I would like to sell it but I don't want to mis-inform anyone.

Does someone know what it's application might be?

    Thanks, Dean

I have been looking for an original leistritz muffler for my '73 E for a very very long time. Would love to buy it if it would work for mine. Can the experts chime in please.

I'm fairly sure that's the stock muffler for all '69-'73 911s (T,E,S), I also beleive it should fit 911 -'68

1973 car came with Bishoff stainless steel mufflers not the Leistritz I believe.

I'm not sure that's right. Maybe you're thinking of '74?

This is timely as I was just looking through some parts yesterday and was wondering what the difference, externally and internally, between the Leistritz and Bishoff mufflers are. And if there are changes, when did they occur? Hopefully Jim B will chime in.

Dunno about internal differences/cut-in dates . . . but the Leistritz has a particular orientation of the tail-pipe that differs from the Bischoff

My car is a '70 + the Leistritz fits perfectly
