Red face 3 Bar Engine Grill

Would really like to know if the 3 bar grill is snapped into place or welded, as far as, vertical bars being connected to horizontal slats & stretched metal mesh go? Are the mesh ends fitted between the 3 vert bars or between those 3 & the horizontal slats?

I'm in the middle of reconstructing one that is in pieces now. Thank you for any input!

The 3 vertical bars are actually 6 pieces riveted together.

The wire mesh has a thin seal that fits on the ends and then first into the vertical pieces, and the top and bottom slats.

    The slats are numbered.

The hole unit is best assembled on the car, so you can work out the spacing, just put some tape around the lid, so as not to scratch it.

The bars are just a press fit, but you may find that you'll need to squeeze the bars where they fit on the verticals to make them stay put. (pliers wrapped with tape).

    Hope that helps?
