    FS: 1965 911 Coupe Numbers Matching Engine/Transmission

I have confirmed through several very knowledable 911sregistry members that this a true 1965 911. They have also gave me some advice on what the car is worth.

I am selling a real original, numbers matching 1965 Porsche 911. I have a factory Kardex that proves this. Please take a look at the pictures and read the description. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 925.876.1281 or email me. I can help arrange out of state or overseas shipping. For additional pictures please click on the link below.

    VIN: 302001
    Engine Number: 902102
    Transmission Number: 102039 901/0
    Color Code: 6402 Ruby Red

Exterior: This car is rough and as mentioned earlier is need of a full restoration. The panels are rusted and have dings/dents on them. It appears the body panels are original to the car as they still have the 001 stamped in them and the original paint peeking through.

Engine/Transmission: This car still has the original engine and transmission. The engine has its original heads, crank, case etc. I have noticed that this car is missing its original carburetors, distributor, and other components.

Interior: The interior like the exterior is in need of a restoration, but it is a very original car. It still has its original seats, headliner, wooden steering wheel, gauges, etc.

Overall: This is a real 1965 numbers matching car. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Price: (Edit) Now on ebay at no reserve.

I think that´s the right car for me.... my children don´t use our swimming pool that much, so I can store it there that it doesnt dry out and looses his nice patina before I have time to restore it! :-)

Appears to be extremely close the the '65/'66 cutoff. Built with only three days left in July. We are getting closer to knowing when the last 'real' '65 was built.

    "WTH is an expander? "

I believe it's an extension of the rear seat cushion(s)...(seat extension/expander)...probably a direct translation from the "fatherland" who calls a helicopter...a "Head Screwer"...(hubschrauber)....../ Lars...

Expander is 'elastic strap for fastening suitcases in trunk' (taken from the 1965 accessories brochure). In this case for the downfolded rear seats. German language is sometimes diffcult. 'Hubschrauber' is not translated 'Head Screwer' 'Hub' is a form of 'heben' and means lifting and 'Schrauber' in this case like revolving. So more a 'revolving lifter'.
And 'Expander' has the same meaning in German and English.

    Head Screwer...

OK...fair enough, if a Helicopter is "revolving lifter"...I'll let you translate "schlummer-rollen" then...just wait until we get into Swedish...try "Full Fart" in Sweden...(Chuck knows...)..

    Sorry..."sleepless at LAX"....
