Anatomy of a Porsche Barn Find

Fresh back from a large raid, I did a short write-up on the blog detailing the ins and outs of a large deal. It isn't always as fun as it looks!

Adam, Nice write up... Seems like a fun way to make a living!

Will you write a follow up detailing the kind of parts you scored (NOS or recycled) etc... Just curious to gain insight into the minds of the hoarders...

Also would be interested to know the back story a little more!

    Cheers

Tony, you are so right, about halfway through this deal I had to remind myself not to get lazy, go through every box. At one point I was perched up on two shelves, holding on with one hand and grabbing with the other, the only thing left on top was a busted cardboard box, I was going to skip it but Big John told me to see what's in it. I'm glad I did, it was a complete MFI setup for a 911E. These deals can be overwhelming.

Nice write up. I seem how you go through the whole gambit of emotions during the deal. Excitement then confusion but it is all worth it when you find those
little gems i.e MFI for the 69. Where in PA was this stash?

Man, I wish it was in PA, it would not have been as long of a drive and not nearly as hot, this was in the South, Richmond, home of the Confederacy.

The back story I will write up in a few years, it is a story that spans 6 years, full of juicy stuff.
