    Retro fit sway bar mounts

    Hello,

I need to retro fit the ball bolt on a 1971 trailing arm. Having found an older thread for SWB cars I am wondering whether there is a factory instruction to weld in the bolt. As I can see on a picture of two factory 911S trailing arms, there is a certain angle which I would like to get right.

I know that getting it more or less right should work but if there is a factory instruction, I would like to see it before welding.

Thanks for any help on this!

Thanks for the responses. I now took some measures from an original axle and welded it in, correspondingly, see pics.

Hey Surfer, I'm a little worried by the angle you've set the pins at...

Factory set them flush with the flat surface of the reinforcing brace, and no deeper than the flange on the pin. Hopefully it makes no difference or the drop-links eliminate any variance.

    Cheers
