    Permatune and MSD coil

    Trying to sort out some mid range rpm hesitation problems. I have a Permatune cdi and it now has a Bosch coil installed. I have a new MSD high vibration coil and wanted to swap it with the Bosch coil. I wanted to know if the Permatune cdi and MSD coil are compatible.

    I would think so. I run an MSD high output coil with a MSD box, which is just another form of a CDI.

    Unless the Bosch coil is a late one specifically for a HEI model car ( with very low resistance) , I would use the MSD coil.
