    Glacier 1972 911S

    This is my 1972 911S - found in Missouri infested with varmints. I have been removing the refuse of the previous inhabitants and rebuilding what they were exercising their teeth on. It is now back on the road and most everything is working. The A/C is not going yet but looks as if it was working when last parked for the varmints.
    The car must have been converted to RS specifications early in its life, but hard to tell exactly when. It was originally Glacier blue – not many options other than the A/C. It came from the dealer ship in Jacksonville Florida and spent some time in the Denver area and then in the Tampa area. I have some history on the car when it was in Tampa, but that is all I have. I have the original maintenance record from new including the 60,000 mile service done in Denver at Hagestad. It came with an RS spec engine with an RS 019 injection pump. It had period recaro aftermarket seats in it that the inhabitants truly loved and came with H1 headlamps. The suspension had been worked over also with earlier aftermarket pieces. It came with period Wilwood calipers upfront. All of the period hardware I have kept on the car except for the seats and H1's. Mr. Shea parted with the seats that are nice original hounds tooth double lockers.
    My question is; does anyone here know the car and its early history?

    9112300021

    VIN = 9112300021
    Eng# = 6320037

    I'd start w/ a search on-line by your VIN (just checked nothing), here on the Registry (ditto), and Pelican (I'll leave that for you)

    Next --- I'd ping Brumos. And Masterson --- if they're still around. Tell 'em who you are + what you've got + what you're looking for. Who knows . . . they may have some records that you can look at

    Next --- I'd head over to your local DMV and do a record search . . . by VIN, by plate, what-have-you. Try to find some owners.

    Next --- I'd go looking for the Guy in your owner's manual . . . and anybody else who turns up --- either from dealers or DMVs. Then --- write some letters, make some calls, knock on some doors . . .

    With any luck? . . . you'll have some raw material to start with. Share what you find --- somebody here might be able to help or offer advice

    And be persistent --- don't get discouraged. You never know what'll turn up. (Trust me on this)

    Hey guys, is your manufacture date 7/71? Mine is. Maybe, we should start the early 72S club.
