    Coco mats

I just received a set of coco mats in s.c. I like them alot but i was surprised by how heavy they are? What do you think???

    Thanks david

They ARE really heavy and thick....so much so they are a little difficult to fit under the rails.

The Coco Mat people are a bit vague, but they will sell them without the heavy rubber backing, as they were originally back in the day.

You have to search around their site and read the small print, but I was able to order a set without the goofy, thick, and HEAVY rubber backing.

Much lighter and slid right under the rails.

They're really heavy. I like them but they are heavy. The real problem is they really don't fit under the rails easily. They do look nice though.

Mine may be up for sale soon. I'm getting new carpeting installed and I really hate to cover it up with the coco mats. I'm still thinking about this though.

Yes they are a little heavy, but they don't bunch up or slip around. I am very happy with the set I bought. I only did the front mats. I love the smell. Remember that from my dad's car in the 60's.

I bought mine, along with a Nardi wood wheel, to brighten up my car's interior. Seems to have done the trick:

My Cocomats in "Jaspe" design arrived a few days ago (shipped to UK). They look fantastic against the tan interior of my '73 S and I like that they are so heavy and well made - makes them seem like they'll last forever.

They are brilliant. Well made and fitted mine perfectly. If you want to race take 'em out I guess.
