    Fuel tank coat stripping question

What is the best way to strip the coating off the fuel tank. Anyone know of a solution that will cut through this stuff?
Please help I wore out my scraper.

I use all of these methods for undercoating. In no particular order :

    MAPP gas and a scraper

knotted wire wheel on a grinder

razor scraper ( dull fresh blades a bit. when they're brand new the blade will dig into the metal and make it a PITA )

Dynazip stripping wheel ( requires a special tool ) http://www.toolking.com/dynabrade-pr...-dynazip-tool/

I've heard rumours of dry ice being used, but have no personal experience with it

I normally use the MAPP gas and scraper to get the bulk, then go back with the Dynazip. FWIW, The gas and scraper is the least messy, and the least noisy.

+1 on a small propane torch and scraper. Messy job but gets the undercoating off fast.
