    Porsche (powered) Hot Rod

I found this on Ebay just now.
I'm not sure if the link will work.
Helped Paul with some small stuff and preparing for the Oakland Roadster Show when the car was complete.
A very detailed build and not your typical hot rod as far as chassis / drivetrain goes. As I recall the car won best paint that year.

It was also Hot Rod magazine's hot rod of the year. I believe in 1991 or 1992.

I remember that car well. We provided many bits and pieces for that build. It is the only 928 that I would want to own.

The only the 928 parts are the engine (well, most of it), the transaxle, the gearbox, dashboard and gearbox lever.

And I really doubt a lazy US 16V engine could produced 345 hp with its carburetors, even if a such an engine is 272 in3

I guarantee that there's more 928 parts than 32 Ford parts. Overall way more Porsche than Ford for that matter.

I wonder if the motor was ever dyno'd? I think somebody in the bay area put the package together and made it run. The 345 hp number may just hyperbole.
