    fan housing part #

    Hi
Still researching this car and keep coming up with anomalies. the Fan housing part # is another one. The number is 901.106.102.6 I can not find any reference to this part # on any other threads. Can anyone shed any light?
    Thanks Bret

That's the casting number,,,not the part number.

    Hi Ed
I thought that was the part# comparing it to pictures in other threads, where on the housing would the part # be?
    Thanks Bret

Why don't you post a picture of the number. Ed is correct in that the number on the top of the housing is actually the casting number and generally that is how we identify them. I can't find anything by that number in the listing of casting #'s, part #'s, or fan numbers so a pic would be of great help. Heck, I'm rather curious now too.

    Hi Gearby
That is what I had read also, In one thread on the Pelican someone made the comment that they had seen a housing with the last number a 5 in the casting # and they had heard of some that had ended in a 6 that were a prototype. This is on a pre-production engine.
    Thanks Bret

    Hi Gearby
I finally got around to those pictures, I forgot to mention the fan is a 224mm with the housing 226mm. I think the 6 might be important!!Name: fan shroud 001.jpg

you need to post a bunch of pictures, fan, housing and shroud if possible. the fan pulley hub and pulley 1/2 look very strange. if it is 225mm, it is a different casting number. pix of original 225 on left and repo on right.
